May Gray MBE Founder of Kerith Counselling Service Ltd.
May took retirement from the Health Service in 1994. She enjoyed a career in Nursing and Health Visiting which spanned more than 20 years with intermittent breaks to care for her children. May and her husband Harry have had three children and now have six grandchildren and 2 great grand children.
Since her early retirement from the NHS, May studied Psychology and gained several qualifications in Counselling which led her to establish Kerith Counselling Service (2001). In 2020 May retired from being one of Kerith’s senior counsellors and supervisors, her experience in the NHS and as a counsellor enables her to continue to make a contribution to the life of the organisation by serving on the management team.
May received her MBE in January, 2012 for services to counselling in the West of Scotland.
